What is language level A2?
Basic knowledge according to the common European reference framework:
Can understand sentences and commonly used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. personal and family information, shopping, work, local area). Can interact in simple, routine situations requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can use simple means to describe own background and education, immediate surroundings and matters relating to immediate needs.

The ÖIF exam A2 from the Austrian Integration Fund is accepted by the district authorities as proof of language proficiency.

This test with value and orientation knowledge at language level A2 serves to fulfill the integration agreement 2011 (module 1) for a limited stay. With the exam you have officially recognized proof of your German language skills. The test is based on everyday reality.
